The JZ Exam Set B Live Mock

Saturday 19 September 2026, 2:00–4:45 pm BST. A free, scheduled sitting of JZ Exam Set B for PLUS beta members: two 75-minute papers with a 15-minute break.

What it is

JZ Exam Set B is first being released through this live mock. Everyone taking part sits the same two papers at the same time, under timed conditions. Afterwards, Set B becomes available to all PLUS beta members to attempt and revisit in the simulator.

Timetable

All times are BST.

StageTime (BST)
Paper 12:00–3:15 pm
Break3:15–3:30 pm
Paper 23:30–4:45 pm

Why should you take part?

Who can take part

The live mock is free for PLUS beta members. Joining PLUS beta is free once you have completed two different full papers in the JZMaths simulator, whatever your scores — see the PLUS beta page for the full offer and how to join.

How to start

Instructions for the day will be announced on this page, including whether you need to register in advance, where to go to start Paper 1, and what happens if you arrive late.

How the sitting works

The live sitting is planned to work as follows:

Extra time

This first live sitting is a pilot, helping us test the format and improve the experience. Unfortunately, extra-time arrangements will not be available for the live pilot. I am sorry for that limitation. Students who need extra time can attempt Set B afterwards using the simulator's usual extra-time settings.

After the mock

We plan to give each participant:

You will also be able to review the questions and worked solutions, and revisit your mistakes. Score estimates for new papers are provisional and may be refined as more students attempt them.

Can't make it?

You do not need to attend the live event to receive Set B. After the mock, it will be available to all PLUS beta members in the simulator, including those who join later. Later attempts will not change the original event rankings. Like all PLUS beta papers, Set B is available until 8 January 2027 at 11:59 pm GMT.
