Live mock cancelled due to database outage (update)

Hi everyone,

I’m very sorry about today’s outage. Despite my preparations, the system has not coped with the demand, and I’m sorry to have kept you waiting.

I have a clearer idea of what may be causing the problem, but I cannot confidently resolve it within the next hour. I therefore have to cancel this afternoon’s live mock.

I’ll work on fixing the issues and, if I’m confident the system is ready, aim to reschedule the mock for tomorrow afternoon. Otherwise, I will release the paper set to all PLUS beta users by tomorrow so you can attempt it in your own time. I’ll post a further update once I can confirm the plan.

In the meantime, I’ll try restarting the database to restore normal access to the site.
