Implied grade boundaries
For each set, how raw marks convert to estimated TMUA scores: Paper 1, Paper 2 and overall. They are indicative estimates, not official TMUA grade boundaries.
Understanding the scales
The tables show estimated scores on two scales:
- 2024+: an estimate on the current TMUA scoring scale. Use this when preparing for an upcoming exam.
- 2017–23: an estimate on the historical TMUA scoring scale, using official past-paper conversion tables as a reference. This helps you compare your performance with older papers.
There is no official conversion between the two scales, so the comparison is approximate. These are the same two estimates shown on your progress. For the official past papers, only the 2024+ estimate is shown.
