Egg Hunt Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: 27/07/2026
These terms govern entry to the Logic Course Egg Hunt ("the competition"), run by Joe Zhou (JZMaths). By ticking the agreement box and submitting an entry, you accept these terms. If you do not agree, please do not enter.
1. Eligibility
- The competition is open to anyone who solves the puzzle and provides a valid email address.
- If the winner is under 18, a parent or guardian's consent is required before any tuition is arranged or any voucher is sent.
2. How to Enter
- Work through the logic course, solve the twelve multiple-choice Easter egg questions, decode the treasure word, and submit it with a valid email address on the Egg Hunt page.
- You must enter a valid email address — it is the only way we can reach you if you win.
3. One Entry Per Person
- Only one entry per person is permitted.
- To enforce this fairly, when you submit an entry we store, alongside it:
- your approximate country, derived from your network address; and
- a one-way scrambled version of your network address.
- We do not store your actual IP address, and the scrambled value cannot be reversed back into it. It is used for one purpose only — detecting duplicate entries in this competition. It is never shared, never used for advertising, and never used to track you across other websites.
- Suspected multiple entries may be queried, and we reserve the right to void them.
4. Use of Your Email
- Your email address is used only to contact you if you win, and to send competition-related updates about this hunt.
- It is not added to any marketing list and is not shared with third parties.
5. The Draw
- Entries close on 31st August 2026.
- Correct entrants will be notified by 1st September 2026.
- The winner is drawn at random from the correct entries on 6th September 2026. Every correct entry has an equal chance of winning, regardless of when it was submitted.
- The exact draw method will be published before entries close, and will be conducted so that the result cannot be fixed.
6. The Prize
- One winner receives their choice of 2 hours of one-to-one tuition with Joe Zhou, or a £100 Amazon voucher.
- The prize is non-transferable and there is no cash alternative beyond the voucher option stated above.
7. Changes and Cancellation
- We may update these terms if needed; material changes will be signposted on the Egg Hunt page. The Effective Date above reflects the most recent change.
- We reserve the right to amend or cancel the competition if circumstances beyond our reasonable control require it.
8. Data and Privacy
- The data described in section 3, together with your email and submitted word, is stored securely and used only to run this competition.
- For how JZMaths handles personal data generally, see the privacy policy.
